Robert J, aka Big Poppa had his first cigar over a friendly poker game during freshman year at Ball State University. It was not the sweet tip taste or the thin smoke of the $1 stick that made an impression, but the shared experience among a group of young men that formed a lifetime bond with the lifestyle. From Edwards hall to the fraternal brotherhood, friendships formed and flourished around Little Kings and White Owls.

Over the years and through many of life's great achievements and tragic occasions, a cigar and a drink marked time. The "Its a Girl!" sticks handed out on the jobsite in southern Illinois in 1995. The Alec Bradley Tempus shared at Robert L's funeral. The Cohiba Robustos Suprema smoked fireside with a Joel Gott cabernet on the back deck during the pandemic. The Bariay 1492 on the patio of the new Florida home. Each stick was associated with the memory and each memory was complimented by the smoke.  

As time passed, moments and memories became more treasured. With their increased value came evolved tastes, all now curated here at Big Poppa Brands.
